End User Licence Agreement (EULA) · Version 1.0 · Draft of 10 August 2026
⚠️ Draft written by a non-lawyer. Must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before publication. See

Short version, before the detail
- This agreement is between you and us. Not between you and Apple, and not between you and Google — even though you bought through them.
- You are buying a right to use, not the app itself.
- We are responsible for the app working, for support, and for the content. Apple and Google are responsible for the payment.
- If you want your money back, that goes through the store you bought from.
- You must be an adult to buy. The app is used by children; it is bought by grown-ups.
1. Who you have an agreement with
| Provider | Arleal AS |
| Company registration number | 934 556 534 |
| Address | Nådlandsberget 31, 4034 Stavanger, Norge |
| support@mesoshqip.eu | |
| Telephone | +47 458 09 350 |
We call ourselves "we" and "us". You are "you". The app is "Mëso Shqip" or "the app".
This is the whole agreement between us about the app. The privacy policy forms part of it and is at 01-personvernerklaering.en.md.
2. The agreement is between you and us
If you obtained the app or a subscription through the App Store or Google Play:
This agreement is concluded between you and us only, and not with Apple or Google. We, not Apple or Google, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
Apple and Google have no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the app.
Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.
3. What you may do
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on any devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Usage Rules of the store you downloaded it from. If you bought through the App Store, Apple's rules on Family Sharing and on use across multiple Apple-branded products apply.
You may use the app for your family's own use, with as many children in the household as you like.
4. What you may not do
Do not:
- copy, sell, rent, lend, distribute or make the app available to anyone outside your household
- unpack, decompile or attempt to derive the source code, except to the extent mandatory law gives you that right
- remove or obscure copyright notices, licence notices or attribution
- use the app's content — words, sentences, translations, audio, illustrations — in another product, commercial or not
- use automated tools to extract content, or to load the service beyond ordinary use
- share an account with another household, or use one receipt on several accounts
On schools and Saturday schools: the app was built with the Saturday schools in Zürich and Düsseldorf in mind, and the printing features exist for them. If you want to use the app in teaching across several families, write to us — it is not forbidden, it just needs a different agreement from this one.
5. The free tier and the full version
The free tier is a complete app. A set number of word and sentence categories, the whole alphabet, every practice mode, all progress, all medals, the repetition system and the daily mission. No account, no adverts, no time limit. We cannot take away progress you already have.
The full version unlocks the rest of the content.
| Price | Full versjon er ikke i salg ennå |
| Term | ikke i salg ennå |
| Free trial | ikke i salg ennå |
| Number of children | Unlimited within the same household |
The price is always shown in the store before you confirm, in your own currency and including VAT. The price is never shown to a child. Anything about money is drawn only after the parental gate has been passed.
6. Subscription, renewal and cancellation
- The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Renewal is charged within 24 hours before each new period begins.
- You cancel in the store, not with us:
- iPhone/iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions
- Android: Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions
- If you cancel, you keep the full version until the end of the period you paid for.
- If you have a free trial and buy before it ends, the remainder of the trial is forfeited. That is the store's rule, not ours.
- We may change the price for future periods. We will tell you in good time and the store will ask you to confirm the new price before charging it.
What happens when the subscription lapses:
Nothing the child achieved disappears. Medals, XP, streak, repetition and mastery levels stay as they are. The free tier works as before. Categories outside the free tier become unavailable until you buy again.
The app has a 14-day grace window for devices without coverage, so that a subscription does not stop in the middle of a car journey with no signal.
7. Withdrawal and refunds
The store handles all refund requests. We cannot process them — the money was never with us.
- Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com
- Google: play.google.com/store/account
Right of withdrawal. As a consumer in the EEA you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a digital purchase. That right lapses once delivery has begun with your express consent and you have acknowledged that you thereby lose it. The store collects this at the time of purchase.
The end user may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are our sole responsibility.
8. Accounts
There is no account on the free tier. No sign-in, no email address, nothing.
If you buy the full version you create one account with your own email address. The account is yours, not your child's. Sign-in is by a link sent to your email — there are no passwords.
You must be 18 or older, or have reached the age of majority where you live, to create an account and buy.
You are responsible for keeping your email account secure. Anyone with access to your email has access to your app account.
You can delete the account at any time, from the parent area in the app. That deletes the account, all child profiles, all progress and all receipts. It cannot be undone, and a subscription still running will not be refunded by us — but you can attach the purchase to a new account with "Restore purchases", because Apple and Google own the subscription, not us.
We may close an account used to abuse the service, share receipts or extract data contrary to section 4. We will give notice first where possible.
9. The content of the app
The app teaches Albanian as it is spoken in Kosovar families — Kosovar Gheg, with Standard Albanian as a written reference.
We do not promise that the app will teach your child Albanian. We promise that the content was made with care, that the method is measured and documented, and that we do not use tricks to keep a child using it longer than they want to.
The narrating voice is synthetic speech, produced with Microsoft Azure AI Speech. It is not a human being. We say so because it is true and because you should be able to make an informed decision for your child.
The illustrations on the cards build on Twemoji © Twitter, Inc. and contributors, used under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). The attribution appears at the foot of the app's start screen and in the store description, because it is a licence condition, not a courtesy.
All other content — the word list, the sentences, the translations, the audio, the interface and the code — belongs to us or our licensors.
10. We are responsible for the app, not Apple or Google
We, not Apple or Google, are responsible for addressing any claims from you or any third party relating to the app, or your possession and use of it. This includes, but is not limited to:
- the app failing to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement
- claims arising under product liability law
- claims that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal requirement
- claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation
The same applies to intellectual property: in the event of any third-party claim that the app infringes that party's intellectual property rights, we, not Apple or Google, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any such claim.
Maintenance and support are our sole responsibility. Write to support@mesoshqip.eu. We normally answer within one working day.
11. Warranty and limitation of liability
The app is provided as it is. Beyond what mandatory law requires, we give no warranty that the app is error-free, always available, or fit for a particular purpose.
Your mandatory rights as a consumer apply regardless. Nothing here limits them, and nothing here limits our liability for loss caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for personal injury, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded.
Beyond that, our total liability is limited to what you have paid for the app in the preceding twelve months.
We are not liable for loss of progress caused by you deleting the app, deleting the account, resetting the device, or losing access to your email account. Use "Download everything" in the parent area if the progress matters to you — the export is in the app's own format and works as a backup.
12. Children
The app is made for children and sold to adults.
- Children cannot enter into this agreement. The purchase is made by an adult, behind a parental gate.
- There is nothing about money in the child's interface. No prices, no padlocks with a price behind them, no prompt to ask a grown-up. This is stricter than the stores require, and it is because the Norwegian Marketing Control Act § 20 forbids both purchase invitations directed at children and encouraging a child to pester an adult.
- No adverts, no tracking, no third-party analytics.
- No chat, no user-generated content, no sharing. A child cannot come into contact with anyone through the app.
How we handle a child's data is set out in the privacy policy, and there is a separate short notice written for the child themselves.
13. Export and sanctions
You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app.
14. Changes
We may change these terms. If we change something that matters to you, we will say so in the app and by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you disagree, you can cancel the subscription and delete the account.
We may change or remove content in the app. We cannot take away progress.
We may discontinue the service. In that case we will give at least 90 days' notice, refund the unused part of the subscription, and keep the export working for the whole notice period.
15. Governing law and disputes
Norwegian law applies. If you are a consumer in another EEA country, you do not lose the protection given to you by mandatory rules of your own country.
If you disagree with us, write first — most things are resolved there. If we cannot get there:
- Norway: Forbrukerrådet (forbrukerradet.no), then Forbrukerklageutvalget.
- EU/EEA: the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform, ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
- Venue is Sør-Rogaland tingrett, subject to the mandatory rules on venue that apply to consumers.
